Excellent site. As a learner, someone suggested I purchase a r/c simulator called "Realflight G2". Does anybody know of it, or has a used version, as the original costs over £170.00.

What an excellent website!! I talked to one of your members on a chat room and he told me about it. I believe it was Dennis. Anyway, nice to see so many beautiful airplanes. I am the president of our club of about 35 people. We fly off of an closed landfill that the county lets us use. Personally, I fly a 1/3 scale Sopwith Pup, a 90" Cub, a Smith Miniplane, a Hot Canary, and I'm finishing a Top Flite Giant F4U Corsair. After that last one, I am completely poor! Take care, Tom.

Looking at the crash pictures, seems to me that the guy in the glasses is a bit of a vandal. Seems like his planes come off better every time.

I have seen plenty of modelling websites and this is one of the best I have seen. It has been a real pleasure reading about all the planes. I have been out of model flying for about 5 years (due to supplying the wife with a family!) and hope to get back into it very soon. Well done chaps....tally ho! Andy

Have been looking for a local club for a long time. I have been flying on and off for 20 years. Now my kids have grown up a bit, i.e. 6 and 3, I would love to come down and see you there. The only flight-ready plane I have at the moment is a Flair Pup. I am at this time building a gas turbine engine and as such need to find somewhere to fly, and some like-minded people to talk to. It's not very nice flying on your own in some nice farmer's field. If I can find you I may try to pop down on Friday evening on the way home from work (Liverpool). Hope that will be OK. If you get this before tomorrow, drop me an email at work Jan.frickel@silverbeck-rymer.co.uk. Thanks again, Jan (Yan)

We do not have any model hobby shops in our country that sells parts or even R/C planes, so most of the items are turned out locally or purchased from abroad. In spite of this, we members of about 20 enjoy the hobby so much, and thanks to the inventers of aeromodelling.

Hi, HMAC. Nice to see Maurice Body is still around. Hi, Maurice. For those of you who are interested, I still keep in contact with Bernie (Moose) Davies on a fairly regular basis. Bernie, as many of you will know, was one of the founder members of the club when it was formed in 1950 and when they flew on Heswall Common (control line and a bit of free flight). Not much in the way of RC in those days. Good 'ole days when some of us didn't know what we were doing. Not much different today really!

I'm an old member, from the sixties! I remember the Bodys and the beautiful Shackleton, Viscount, Piaggio, etc. c/l scale models. I wish I could remember some other names from that period. The trips to Sleap airfield and the flying at the field on the Chester road in Gayton. I must qualify for old fart status. Great site and I'll call in regularly to see what's going on.

Hi guys, just a French Canadien come on your side. Very nice. I was in England in 1978, Woodvale Scale as a Mechanic for Canada. I've been to England 4 times since. My daughter married a boy from Notts and is living now near here with 5 grandkids. I was treasure for Scale 80, in Ottawa Canada. Now semi retired and flying most week ends, proto-scale. we have a big lake down the street, 10 miles by 60 mile, 6 feet of snow this winter, lots of fun. Our club is named TARMAC, it means Temiskaming and Region Model Airplane Club. Where is Heswall so I can look you up next time I go to England and Malta for another fun trip? Bye for now André E. Great site guys. Beats the hell out of those pretentious American sites. I am new to the hobby and had my first assisted flight two weeks ago. I am surprised by the level of interest in the hobby world wide. Anyway great flying to all. The weather in Melbourne is bordering on 40 degrees Celsius, so dusk flying is the way to go. I hope it isn't too cold over there. See you when the ashes begin. Leigh Harrington
