Name: James Williams Name: Stuart Knowles CommentsHi, Surfed on in here from the 'Big Stuff' page. I think! Congratulations on the site, it's very good and has given me some ideas for my own. I was very interested to read the bit about Andy Thomson's Puppeteer. I have a thing about exploring alternative materials and have built a couple of foam and brown paper, and one from cardboard. All flew well. All were solid structures, as in fully skinned, and I had not thought to try a built up / open structure. I don't know if Andy has web access but if so, I would be very interested to hear a little more about his methods, what went well and less well etc. Best wishes for the new year, Stuart. Doncaster. S. Yorks. Name: Dave Burkin CommentsInteresting site. I'm just starting a site for Impington Village College MAC so I'm looking at what others have done. Happy landings! Name: Tom Boggan CommentsCongratulations on your site! Name: Chris Groves CommentsJust, hello from a fellow modeller. Name: Bryan Mole CommentsVery informative and interesting site, I'll be back! Bryan Mole. Name: Ian Groom CommentsGreat site! Must have taken a lot of work. Thanks, Andy. Name: Craig Dishman CommentsWould like to correspond via E-mail with active R/C pilots. Name: Mike Gibbings CommentsHi members, I joined HMAC at about the same time as JOHN LEE in 1966 and have been a life member ever since. My flying is totally electric powered (RC) which gives me access to sites that the IC boys wouldn't be able to use. It seems electric power has really taken off (excuse the pun) in the last 5 years or so. Hope to meet you all at your 50th anniversary binge (assuming of course that there will be one). All the best and good flying, MIKE G. Name: Andrew Colley Name: Lindsay Todd CommentsExcellent, hope we can soon be doing something similar. Perhaps we can start an interclub newsletter swap in the future? Name: Robert Cockerill CommentsHello what a very interesting site, Andy. You and your club members have put in a lot of hard work into your flying site, I wish ours was half as good! Good luck with all your flying. Bob. Name: Paul CommentsAndy, nice site. Keep up the good work. All the best, Paul. Name: Peter Willamott CommentsEnjoyed my visit with Dave. Name: David Barrington CommentsAs a Boeing 757 Captain I enjoyed viewing your web site, but please tell me, where on earth is Heswall??. Happy flying, real or imaginary, to you all. Name: Andrew Caldecott CommentsCongratulations on a great site. It brings back the memories of HMAC as a past member. I don't know if any of the present members remember the Caldecott Clan - Dad (Ted), myself, and brothers Tim and Simon. In the days of Bernie Davies, Tim Stanley, Maurice & Pete Bodey, Dave Stewart, Doug Platt (emigrated to Canada), Mark Winstanley, Geoff & Paul Mason, John Lee - and I can think of a few others. Please supply any information on any 50th festivities you have planned. I am an events organiser with my own company (I retired from the health service before it killed me !). I will gladly give some time (free of charge) if you need a hand. If there are any items, photo's or bits of information from the past that I can dig out give me a ring on 01284 750222 or by e-mail. If past members are still out there drop me a line. Good luck with all your flying (and socialising). Look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Andrew C. Name: John Lewis Name: Paul A. Returning to the hobby prior to retirement after 30 years away. Name: John Meredith CommentsInteresting web site but as a "glider guider" there is little of interest to me, unfortunately! Name: Dave Williams CommentsNice models Andy, can I have a go? Name: Steve Middleton CommentsGOOD SITE Name: Tom Fairbairn and Dewayne Evans CommentsWe enjoyed the vist to your very informative site. Name: Andy Besy CommentsGREAT site, but is there any chance of some more for beginners? Perhaps some reviews of models good for beginners, and those to steer clear of. Name: Dave CommentsNone as yet Name: Bob Collyer CommentsLike the site, especially the links. Name: Roger Villacorte CommentsNice pictures of your club members planes and info regarding them. Your "mid-airs" are very entertaining. Keep up the interesting stories about them and for other future "mishaps"..keep the hobby going/flying!!!! Name: John Lee CommentsLive on the Net at home at last. I would welcome hearing from any old members - I'll be in touch with Mark & Tim in the near future. Name: Michael Checkley CommentsI am currently a member of the Wirral Radio Control Flying Society, flying at Arrowe Park. I would be very grateful if you could e-mail me, providing directions to your flying site from Upton (Wirral) and also information regarding membership fees, etc. Name: Graham Fewtrell Name: Vincent Greatwood CommentsNice web site, keep up the good work, will come back and visit again sometime. Try not to ground loop! Name: Jim Merithew CommentsYou have a very nice site. May all your landings be wheel side down. Name: Ernest Shipman Name: Randy Hammond CommentsVery nice, comprehensive site. Got it bookmarked! Name: Luke Ledger CommentsI'm an aeroplane worshipper at the age of ten, and I am looking foward to becoming a real pilot when I'm older. I enjoy drawing remote control aeroplanes, designing blueprints for new ones, and making Airfix models. I hope to join a modelling club when I'm old enough; you need to be thirteen years old to join my local club. Thank you for your site, it has some fantastic photographs; perhaps one day I'll send you a photograph of mine. Name: Chris Hoffmann CommentsCool site, I will be stopping back often. Chris (webmaster for RRCC) Name: BTEC Aerospace Course-ESC CommentsWe are a group of students studying aviation engineering. We have been set the task of making a static model aircraft with movable control surfaces. Could you please advise us on any methods you may have on building this i.e. materials to use, control linkages etc. Thank you. Name: John Tatar CommentsA very good website. Name: Pete Caley CommentsGreat site, seems like you have a nice club. My only comment is people are scared of going into a club not knowing anyone. If I where you I would nominate a person by name who they should ask for, his name should be up on a sign at the club as well; then he would be responsible for introductions and getting them started, and above all making them feel at ease. Kind regards, Pete Caley. |
